Sedum ellacombianum
Phedimus ellacombianus
Sedum is a conspicuous ellacombianum and unique species originating from the Japanese island of Hokkaido and Korea. Characteristic for this plant are pea-green leaves that change to shades of red or in the sunny habitat. The plant forms dense stands kopečkovitého stretched shape, growing to a height of 10 cm. They are embedded in the summer with plenty of striking yellow flowers. Fruits at ripening gradually change color from orange to rusty red. Although the plant is unmistakable appearance, is quite often confused with procumbent forms Sedum kamtschaticum and offered under the wrong name as a cultivar of Sedum kamtschatikum 'Elacombianum', or Sedum ssp kamtschatikum ellacombianum
