Sedum ssp dendroideum praealtum
Perhaps the most common, almost hardy, evergreen tree praealtum Sedum, grows in many warm temperate regions of the world. The light green, dřevnatějící, fast-growing stonecrop grows in dense shrubs up to 3 meters high. It is difficult to precisely define the location due to its many years of cultivation, but the tropical lowlands of Vera Cruz in Rio Blanco Valley could be considered as the original site type.
In addition to Sedum dendroideum no other evergreen, yellow-flowering sedum such forms of growth. If we grow the sedum in the apartment, the plant is more pale and nedorůstá such proportions. The situation is different if Sedum praealtum grow outdoors in large containers, such as solitary plants. Plenty of light, air and moisture is good for growth, which is more pronounced. The leaves are deeper green color and the edges are lined with reddish lines. The plant is compact and creates a strong woody stem. Requires location in full sun and tolerates regular summer watering every other day. Performs a month without water, but this method of cultivation, so-called "hard" significantly slows plant growth, which is needed in this case, if as stonecrop shape the bonsai. Unfortunately not hardy Sedum praealtum, so winter plants must be moved to a cold room with temperature around 10 ° C (cool handle short-term drop in temperature to 5 ° C), with very limited dressing - October - January to March.
It's totally unassuming succulent suitable for all novice growers.
