In cultivation, there are two extremes, with several intermediate and variable forms. The flowers are produced on multiflorous inflorescence with bright orange anthers. Sedum middendorffianum grows on the rocky ground, in rock crevices and clearings from the valley of the Lena River in northeast Siberia after the Okhotsk through northern China and Japan. This stonecrop is widespread from coastal areas of the Alpine slopes.

When growing this type can be used both in rocks and ornamental perennial beds and containers. The most commonly cultivated form in our cluster consists of up to 15 cm tall. Bright yellow flowers vykvétají in July and August. Instead we choose a sunny garden, with a moist permeable soil. Sedum middendorfianum could include an attractive species with no special requirements for cultivation.
